TheWilliams Grove Street Stocks joined us in a competitive race this week. Jenn finished 6th in her heat which was the last transfer spot for the feature except for the consi. This put her 18th to start in a field of very good competive cars in the feature. She drove a great race, learning alot about side by side competive racing, finishing 11th. Bobby is still wondering if he needs to do more. She's just not as fast as some of these guys !! They'll keep tossing it around in the garage to see what we need to do.
The Xtreme stocks put on a great show. But what a night of fixing Trav's car. His bad luck was bound to come....and it came all at once. In hot laps, he blew the transmission. We change that to get him out for his heat. He finished 3rd in his heat but came in and the waterpump, fan, and pulleys all came off and flew into the radiator. So, we tossed around what to do. He was leading the points we had to get him back out. With tons of help from Sam, the 7P crew of Jim Palm and tons of others. We got him all back together for the feature. Trav is fast and on lap 17 he was passing Mike Zeigler for the lead - 2nd place since there was 3 of them going for the lead, when Zeigler broke something coming up the track and putting Trav up on the frontstretch wall. He came to a stop at the pit exit with enough damage he couldn't finish. This was Trav's first finish all year out of the top 5. Sam and Trav are awesome fast, he'll make it up next time. !!! Bobby had Sam and the #1 of Andrew Frye/Curt Shue in the garage this week scaling and setting up. Sam's car is fast but he is still fighting motor problems. He swares he's just not fast enough. Sam finished 3rd. The #1 of Andrew Frye finished 5th !! Hopefully things will calm down a little next week. :)
